1999 - Eighty Three is the debut album of the Vaportrap/Hip-Hop group "The $quadz." Previously released a year ago from today, on TSW, (The Synth Warehouse) then pulled from digital sales in November 2016, 1999-Eighty Three is by far the most worked on album by me. Started recording in March-June of 2016 with two locally met rapper, Komato$e and Internet-famed video artist, SamuraiHacks in the recording studio at the high school all of us attended at the time. The $quadz' debut album 1999-Eighty Three sounds fantastic. Chidow's first album-length shot at hip-hop beat production takes the listener to places previously unexplored in underground hiphop production, referencing sounds like the Minneapolis sound of Prince (R.I.P.) and the 2010 sound of "-wave" music.

Most tracks on 1999-Eighty Three is sizzurpy-sweet and mellow, a style inherited from Chidow's previous release "VΛPES and WΛVES", which to be found works very well to his advantage. Even the hazy, internet-and-video game-culture influenced "Victouriou$" takes the listener to a mental picture that wouldn't look out of place in a new age rap video.
